Last Minute Heartbreak - Crawley 1-0 Mansfield

A 92nd minute goal from substitute James Tilly goal condemned the Stags to defeat in a lacklustre affair in West Sussex.

Nigel Clough named an unchanged team to the one that faced Cheltenham during the week, James Perch keeping his place in the starting line-up with Ryan Sweeney only making the bench.

The first chance of the game fell to Mansfield as Jamie Reid managed to get an overhead kick on target, Morris the Crawley 'keeper managing to palm it away and out the reach of the onrushing Ollie Clarke.

Crawley's first chance of the game fell to Tom Nichols as his header towards goal was held by Marek Stech.

Jamie Reid was unlucky not to be on the scoresheet yet again as his header from Stephen Quinns cross was turned just wide of the post.

Tom Nichols came close to opening the scoring but Marek Stech got across his goal to gather easily.

The Stags went close yet again as Jamie Reid's pop shot flies just over the bar after a brilliant turn on the edge of the box.

Ollie Clarke made way from Keaton Ward at the break, the Stags captain not 100% according to Stags boss Nigel Clough.

The Stags had Marek Stech to thank for keeping the score level, a brilliant bit of build up play from Crawley and Tom Nichols getting his first time effort on target and Stech makes a miraculous save.

Clough made his second change of the game as Jamie Reid is replaced by Tyrese Sinclair.

Harry Charsley came on for the Stags to replace Jason Law.

Tyrese Sinclair nearly made an instant impact as he was brought down on the edge of the area and his free-kick deflects over the bar.

From the resulting corner James Perch heads off target from Sinclairs corner.

The deadlock was broken in the 92nd minute and it was heartbreak for the Stags as James Tilley ran through the Stags defence and fired hard past Marek Stech at the near post.
