Mansfield Magic! Mansfield 3-1 Cheltenham

Nigel Cloughs men come from behind to take all three points at The One Call Stadium.

Goals from Jordan Bowery and Jamie Reid doing the damage for the Stags after Sam Smith opened the scoring for the visitors.

Stags full back Mal Benning had the first chance of the game as his low driven shot forced Griffiths into a diving save.

Griffiths would be tested again shortly later as Jason Law drove forward and found Jamie Reid who put his shot just wide of the near post.

Cheltenham could count themselves lucky not to be down to ten men after ten minutes, keeper Griffiths upended striker Jamie Reid on the edge of the area as he was through on goal, referee Scott Oldham only producing a yellow card, much to the frustration of the Stags players who thought for certain a harsher punishment should've been served.

The Robins put to use their long throw specialist Ben Tozer but his long throw could only be put over the bar by Charlie Raglan.

26 minutes on the clock and the Stags thought they had the lead, striker Jordan Bowery hitting the post before defender Farrend Rawson was denied by Griffiths from close range.

Cheltenham thought they had the lead as Sam Smiths shot found its way into the net off the knee of Wright but the linesman already had his flag up to rule the goal out.

6 minutes into the second half and Cheltenham did finally break the deadlock, Chris Hussey with the driving run up the left hand side and Sam Smith rose above centre back James Perch to nod in from 5 yards.

The lead was short lived as Jordan Bowery smashed into the net from 12 yards, Jason law with the good build up play and he teed up Bowery and he fired past Griffiths to level the game with a first time finish.

It would be two not long after as Jamie Reid got in on the act, yet again Jason Law with the build up play, his cross causing issues on the box and after a goal mouth scramble, the ball was poked home by Jamie Reid for his first goal in six games.

The Stags made it three moments later as Jordan Bowery got his second of the game and put Mansfield out of sight, Bowery and Reid playing a lovely one-two and Bowery beats the offside trap from Reid's through ball and he places the ball inside the near post to give the Stags a two goal lead.

It could've been four and five not long after as Jason Law fires Jamie Reid's pass just over the bar and then Jamie Reid clipped the outside of the post with his powerful shot.

The Stags are in action again at the weekend as they make the trip to West Sussex to take on Crawley Town, match passes available from the link below.
