Match Preview - Bradford City vs Mansfield

Updated: Mar 8

The Stags travel to West Yorkshire's game looking for a second win in as many games. Kick off 7pm.

Nigel Clough's men go into the game off the back of a hard fought win at the weekend at home to Morecambe, Jordan Bowery's goal enough to separate the two sides.

Team News

Stephen Quinn and youngster Jason Law both kicked up slight knocks at the weekend but both expected to be in contention for a place in the starting XI.

Stephen McLaughlin will be doubtful for tomorrow nights game, whilst on loan striker Oliver Sarkic could make a return to the team after making the bench on Saturday.

Midfielder George Lapslie and Joe Riley will still be missing with hamstring and ACL injuries respectively.

Mansfield striker Andy Cook, on loan at Bradford Currently, will be ineligible for the Bantams.

Last Time We Met

It was the Bantams who came out on top the last time these teams met back in October with a 3-1 win at The One Call Stadium. Goals from Woods and Donaldson, as well as an own goal from Stags custodian Marek Stech. Andy Cook on target for the Stags on that occasion. With debutant George Lasplie being sent off after a second bookable offence.

Recent Form

The Stags returned to winning ways on Saturday with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Morecambe at One Call Stadium.

Striker Jordan Bowery confidently fired home the winning goal, knocking Stephen Quinn’s well-aimed delivery into the bottom corner.

Bradford City are in excellent form heading into Tuesday’s encounter, having won each of their last four matches in Sky Bet League Two.

Match Officials

The referee for Tuesday’s game will be Paul Howard, assisted by Ivan Stankovic and Andrew Dallison. The fourth official will be Wayne Grunnill.

Mr. Howard was also the referee the last time the two sides met, back in October at One Call Stadium.
