Match Preview - Mansfield vs Grimsby
Updated: Mar 20
The Stags are in action again tomorrow at the One Call Stadium with the second of their three home games in a row, Paul Hirst's Grimsby being the visitors on this occasion.
George Lapslie and George Maris are both expected to miss the game as they both recover from injury.
Joe Riley is the only other absentee for the Stags.
Rollin Meneyese misses the game as he is ineligible to play against the Stags.
It was a point last time out for Nigel Cloughs men against Carlisle, Stephen McLaughlin getting the goal for the Stags ten minutes before time.
Paul Hirst's men also got a point as nothing could split themselves and Tranmere on Wednesday night.
Last Time We Met
We last faced Grimsby Town back in December 2020, a 1-1 draw at Blundell Park.
Ira Jackson Jr. had put Grimsby ahead just after the hour, but the Mariners had their lead extinguished by a Nicky Maynard penalty just minutes later.
The referee for Saturday’s match will be John Busby, assisted by Nicholas Cooper and Andrew Aylott. The fourth official will be Christopher Pollard.
Mr. Busby last took charge of a Mansfield fixture in our 1-0 loss to Cheltenham in February 2020.
